I have a secret love for food photography. It’s the reason I invested in a macro lens from the moment I bought my DSLR.

I love to see the texture and colour of food. And those who shoot it will know that food shots are almost always choreographed.
The turmeric has to be sprinkled on evenly. The extra virgin olive oil in the darkest creamiest yellow one can find. And just the right sprinkle of parsley. Of course the crouton must also be tilted at a perfect angle to catch the light.
It’s fun! Have a great new year, everyone.

Food photography is one area I struggle. First its the hand shaking issue, and second I don’t have a macro lens.
I would love to take food photos that are so tantalising, people want to lick their screen but I struggle. I don’t have the patience (not to mention skill & hardware) to do it, I guess. :(
But I’ll presevere!
I love food photography, and enjoy eating them after that.
I once went to a cafe and read a quote “Food is the sweetest thing God ever made and forgot to put a soul into”. :)
Alright, it’s time for my dinner.
oh, this is great food choreography :) makes me want to have a warm soup right now :)
well you certainly made me hungry with the shot.
I need a macro lens–but not for food. I like nature shots instead. And bugs and such.
I am not a photographer but I like visiting to understand the finer details from someone who is. I never gave much thought to food photography. Very nice shot.
I’m usually too busy eating my food to photograph it….besides which when I have made a dish it never looks quite as good as the picture in the book.
This looks delicious though….do we get a recipe?????
Great detail, now I could take pics of great food all day long as long as I could eat some of it afterwards.
always a good meal at the end of the shoot right!
