Nepal EBC Trip: Gokyo Lakes 3, 4800m

by krizzcross on June 22, 2010

This is the top view of Gokyo-Ri and Gokyo Lakes 3.

The lake strangely reflects emerald color instead of blue against the sky.

Weather are very unpredictable. Clouds are moving in amazing speed.

As we climbed further up,  we saw the cloud rolling towards the village.

Noticed the gray area behind the village? It’s the wasteland we show you Yesterday

In a moment, the whole village and lake are covered with cloud. Thank God its only cloud.

Wow that’s incredible how that lake is an emerald color. I wonder why it’s like that. That is a very beautiful spot but that cloud is really something.

Oh My World! These photos worth all the trouble of climbing Mt. Everest. And even without photos… I would probably won’t forget the details of the place and will forever be etched in my mind. You are one lucky duck! LOL.

I love the emerald lake, the blue mountains, and the white clouds. You captured the painting of nature beautifully. God is the greatest artist.

Hey guys, thanks for your encouragements and comments.

- Ann: The emerald tone on the lake are causes by the combination of reflection from the sky and it’s depth.
- Ruthi: Yes it worth every effort and challenge to be there. Simply awesome!
- Rose, VS, Lin, Violet, Ingimg and June Zach: Indeed God’s creations are magnificent. As I’m climbing higher up to the peak of Gokyo-Ri, it takes just a moment for the clouds to engulf the entire surface beneath and soon it rushes to the Mountain top.
- Michelle: Thanks. ;)
- Winter_gurl: Thank God for the save journey that I’m now back to civilization. :)
- Tanya Walton: I do agree with you :)
- Jacqueline: It took me 21days to complete the entire trip.
- Carmen Araneta: Thanks… Didn’t regret making this trip.
- Spice Up Your Life: It is the sun rays that landed on the mountains
- Denesa@parentimes: They are just marvelous.
