The Blog

Phortse Tanga River located beside the village, about 3675m or 12056ft above sea level.

This ice river formed from the melting glacier on the top of the mountain, thanks to global warming.

Those seems-to-be-stones are actually ice rubbles washed along the river.

We finally reached this village before dawn.

The village only consisted of few houses, but from the looks of it, this village has been around for quite some time.

Notice the ancient writings on the huge slab of rock near the entrance of the village.

They are prayers written to the ancestors.

We stay for a night at a place called River Resort, well… far from resort.

Here is their menu.

There are no butler and first class service too.
