The Blog

I simply love Spring!!|! A season of new beginnings! Colourful flowers blooming everywhere!! It’s especially exciting when I come across a variety for the very first time. This year, my discovery is the Bleeding Hearts (Dicentra spectabilis) and I found it in my neighbour’s garden.

How convenient is that!?

They are so pretty though I can’t say the same for its name as it’s so sad sounding. Do you agree?

Last weekend I went out to cover this event by Esplanade called Fires of Eden.

This event held on 14 May to 16 May 2010 from 7.30pm till 10.00pm

Here is the synopsis :

In a post apocalyptic garden presided by elements on fire, stories of two individuals unfold.

Their blissful life in the garden is rudely interrupted when they are banished for committing the crime of consuming fruit from the tree of knowledge.

It’s an art exhibition to showcase combination of fire elements, metal and musical performance.

During usual weekend, I was taking pictures as usual while this little girl approached me.

She was holding a cute pink kite string.

“Excuse me? Would you help me flying this kite?” she said.

How can I refuse this request from such a nice polite little girl? :)

“Sure, would you mind if I took your picture too?” I said.

“Owkay!” She nooded.

Noticed the smudge on her face? She felt down few times while running to make the kite fly.

After few failed attempts, finally the kite soared in the sky!

This red bird shaped kite was hers. Beautiful isn’t it? :)

By the way, this is part of the game introduced by Michael.

Sorry if I cheated a little. They are in my 8th folder but 8th and 9th pictures.

If I didn’t include the 9th, you guys won’t see how the kite looks like :)

Here are the rules:

1. Go to your photo files, select the 8th photo folder
2. Select the 8th photo in that folder
3. Post that photo along with the story behind it
4. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same!

And below are the fortunate people that I’ve choose! (not in alphabetical order)

Lin, Ratty, Tanya, Ann, Rainfield, Jo, Betchai and Bing!

Let’s the fun begin! :D
