I love window seats in an aircraft. My bag would be under the seat or in the overhead compartment. But my camera will be in my hands, all ready in case I spot a great view.
And in this case, I did.
At a closer look, I spotted 2 rows of blocks in the waters. I wonder what those are. I zoomed in on the original size photo but couldn’t tell. Anyone knows?

Wow! The skies are so clear till I can see the offshore farm at the bottom of the sea
Great work Bing!
This is one masterpiece…
The view looks like a painting, nice shot indeed!
Thanks everyone! Yes, that could be an offshore farm.. and in NZ, it would most likely be a oysters, mussels or scallops farm.
Awesome aerial shot. Good thing you had your camera on you but then again, why wouldn’t you…lol
Beautiful picture.
I usually read or sleep in the aircraft, and I love aisle seat. Next time, I’ll try window seat and get my camera ready
Wow that looks like a painting. That is such a good picture. Looks like New Zealand is a beautiful place. I have always been curious about New Zealand and what it was like. You just never hear much about it. Thanks for that great picture.
Thanks Ann & Violet. Yes, I always hold on to my camera during landing and take-off. Sometimes the view is amazing, and I hate it when I’m buckled up and my camera is in the overhead compartment! Haha..
Thanks Marg! Coincidentally, I am putting up a list of Must-Sees locations in NZ this week. Not every photo was shot with a DSLR, but it’s informative stuff. Check it out! – http://www.storyofbing.com/?tag=best-of-nz
I’m not good at understanding structures in the water, but I really like your photo.
That’s incredible..
Awesome view. My list of destination are growing!….
