Knocking on Heaven’s Door HDR
St Andrew Cathedral is the place when I was out hunting for photos with my buddy Obana.
I was squatting ready to take this picture while accidentally nudge one of the Tripod leg.
So this is the result, which in my opinion, slightly eerie…
And the second one, processed in full glory of HDR. I try to make this picture less HDR-ish.
So the effect is quite mild compared to those HDR pictures you saw out there.
Do you guys noticed that the lamps at the side of doorway shine different color? Purely no Image editing on this part.
They looks like magical torch to me. Is there a hidden message or meaning behind that?
I guess no point of knocking at that door. Hope the door is open next time

Wow..they can lighten up this huge place by only two lights.
That’s very impressive..(or there are another light source that I couldn’t find in this photo).

wow. so the first one was an accident. It’s pretty. as it is the heaven’s door, i guess it will only open for those who are qualified to get in.

v1olet: I just realized that the lights shows different color. On eis red and another one is blue. Wonder if there is any meaning behind that.

I can tell that there might be a hidden meaning why the two torches shine differently colors.

Very nice, as always, my friend. As for the two-colored lights–no message. Just a handyman who used the wrong lightbulb to replace a burnt out one.

The first looks a bit like a ghost going through the shot

The first one is wonderful. I think that accident was meant to happen. It is a great picture. Glad you pointed out the lights on the side of the doors are different colors. I wouldn’t have noticed that. That is such a gorgeous Cathedral. Good job especially the mistake.

Nicole: You can use HDR using photoshop and other free software. Hardware like good tripod, wireless remote will helps too.
