Lonely Spider

Good morning lovely people!

TGiF! Yay! :D

Today we going to talk a bit about spider. It seems like everywhere I go, I always bumped into this tiny creature (some of them not too tiny)

Maybe they tried to convey a message for me? or some kind of bodyguard? Who knows?

This one I took at one of the garden nearby where I live. Basically I am fine with house spiders.

They just quietly spinning web at the corner while silently let us know that our house needs cleaning soon :)

Spider abdomens bear can extrude silk from up to six types of silk glands within their abdomen.

Spider webs vary widely in size, shape and the amount of sticky thread. Most of them are very strong.

Anyone has personal close encounter experience with this Arachnophobia?

  1. In my old house (we moved at the end of November) we had Wolf spiders. Some would get quite big. And though they supposedly bite, they never bit anyone at my house. We always had one, every summer that got quite large and spun a huge web in the corner of our open front veranda. There were some epic battles fought in that web and many a pesky mosquito met their demise.

They are fascinating creatures and their webs are so ethereally beautiful. Spiders in the house are considered in some countries as good luck and they are key to the Native North American legends surrounding the Dream Catcher.

This reminds me of a little fellow I have in the house right now. Have been seeing it for a few weeks already. But so far we have been keeping a respective distance from each other. I don’t mind having the little fellow in the house at all. :)

Joella: I am also the admirer of their web. I read the story too about some countries believe that these spiders brings good luck :)

Tanya: Must be very cold up there right now :)

BK: I have one in my cupboard too. We kinda like have a mutual respect for each other.

    Icy: Same attitude here :P

Spider is always lonely. There won’t be two spiders inside a web.

That is a great picture of the spider. That is kind of a big one or maybe it just looks big in the picture. I have tons of spiders in my house and you should see the spiders in my barns. Lots of webs out there in the barns.

I am terrified of spiders, Vanilla! I don’t like the big ones or the little ones–even if they are busy catching wayward ants somewhere in the corner of my house. Ick. Ick. Ick. My worst fear is them on the ceiling. I’m afraid they will fall on me!!! EEEEEKKK!

I’m ok with spiders as long as they don’t get too close.

  13. I don’t mind spiders at all, fastidious little critters to. Plus I think their smart little buggers to, I mean all that work for a web, then to sit back and wait for dinner. Plus I am sure they get more then one meal out of each web. I wonder how many webs they have stashed and how the heck to they remember where they are? Another great picture also
