Midnight at Henderson Bridge HDR

Good morning! :D

Maybe you have been wondering what are VanillaSeven team doing on the day and night of long weekend?

Maybe they just sleeping, daydreaming, playing games, shopping, eating and be merry….

Of course not! (Well.. not completely..)

We shoot! Yes, we shoot to satisfy the bottomless hunger of fresh images here every single day!

We shoot till our hands shaky from holding 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for hours.

We shoot till our legs feels like cemented in concrete.

We shoot till our eyes saw bokeh* inside and outside our viewfinder.

Henderson bridge or more famously called “Henderson Waves” is the highest bridge in Singapore. Standing tall about 36 metres from the ground.

Both of these photos are processed in HDR, no Photoshop touch-up. Long exposure of 30 secs, aperture from 8 to 22, ISO 200.

The flares are purposely captured from the lamp post nearby to create the effects and gradient from the clear night.

*bokeh: the aesthetic quality of the blur in out-of-focus areas of an image.

Hope you guys enjoy our hard work :) Have a lovely days!

Sharkie, Vickie: Yes , it is a bridge. Henderson Waves Bridge is the highest bridge in Singapore. Built about 36 metres from the ground.

v1olet: Accidentally captured it since there is a bright lamp post nearby. After previewed it, I think the effect is quite cool.

Lin: Thanks Lin, a Big Sunshine hugs for you! :D

Fadzil: Yes, I use Photomatix for this. But the setting is very mild to avoid the pictures becoming too superficial.

  11. Wow! These are so totally awe inspiring. They are really phenomenal, especially when you realize they are not re-touched in any way. They look like they were taken on an alien planet. I’ve never seen such architecture in a bridge.

Thank you, your images help keep my sense of wonder alive even after the many years I have lived in this world.

Joella: Now you’ve said that, I realized that it is looks like from outer space. Maybe because I am get used to see this bridge so that I’ve lost the sense of awe. Thanks for reminding me to see this in new light.

Icy, Marg: Yeah, because of the flares, its looks underwater. Now if I can find some bubbles… :D
