From Bali With Love (1) : Bali

Bali is more popular than Indonesia. People knows Bali better than Jakarta or even Indonesia.  In fact, Bali is one of 17,508 islands in Indonesia. People loves Bali for its beautiful nature, exotic cultures and arts, and friendly atmosphere.  I was in Bali last week, so here is a little something from Bali with love.

Where to stay?

Nusa Dua Resort  is the right place if you would like to enjoy good facilities of resort hotel.  Your kids could join various kid’s activities or kid’s club.  Most resorts have their own private beach.  Swimming, sailing, water sports, would be fun, or just walking a long the beach enjoying the sun and wind.

Ubud Area is for those who love arts and cultures.

Kuta and Legian Area is the most famous area for party lovers.  It’s the center of attractions, entertainment (clubs and restaurants), and shopping area.  Kuta Beach and Legian Beach are good for water sports especially surfing.

I stayed at Swiss Belhotel Bayview that is located in Nusa Dua.  It’s a 5 storey hotel and it’s quite tall in Bali since buildings in Bali should not be higher than coconut tree.  My room was at level 4.  I was lucky that my booking was upgraded from deluxe to suite room.  That’s cool.

Here are some photos taken from the rooftop restaurant.

Villas with private pool

Rindik – Balinese Bamboo Instrument played in the evening daily at the hotel lobby

Would you like to go to Bali?  I’ll be happy to introduce you to a friend of mine who could arrange hotel accommodation, car rental + driver cum guide, etc that meet your budget and schedule.

  5. Thank you for this glimpse into the beauty of a place I will probably never see. Isn’t it wonderful what we can share with others with the power of technology? I would be tempted to find a way to get there just to sample that tropical treat in the first picture :0)

Thank you all for your comments. Hope someday you’ll get a chance to visit Bali.

@ Grace : Balinese architectural design and interior are indeed unique and inspiring.

@ Joella : Fresh coconut drink like this is the best drink to enjoy in a hot day. The background is Mount Batur at Kintamani.

@ Kvelli : Get well soon.
