Perfect Eyesight

Glasses, eyeglasses or spectacles.

Most of the time we use this to correct our vision, others use to protects eyes from debris, UV rays or glares.

For the eyes that need correction, there are myopia (also called nearsightedness or shortsightedness) , hyperopia ( also called farsightedness) and presbyopia (a defect of vision caused by an imperfection in the eye)

For those who have a a perfect eyesight, you are indeed blessed. Be thankful for what you have.

I’ve been wearing a glasses since I was a child. They broke so many times due to accident, or incident.

The annoying part of wearing glasses are when I want to go swimming (I know there are corrective swimming goggles) or simply want to wear cool sunglasses noontime at the beach.

Have you been in this situation before?

Nowadays, medical technology are so advance that now for a right amount of price, you can say goodbye to our thick glasses. It called as Lasik surgery. I am considering to have one, maybe any of you that had undergo this process can share a little bit about how it feels like after surgery?

How many of you actually have the real perfect eyesight?

I have what they tell me is slightly better than perfect eyesight. I don’t understand exactly what they mean, but I’ve been very lucky with that, especially since I’ve had some jobs where eyesight damage is common.

I had the experience of the “no touch” PRK laser eye surgery and many of my friends had the same surgery. They all reported good results and are happy with the procedure.

    That’s indeed a blessing Ratty :)

I don’t have perfect eyesight! I’ve been wearing glasses, now contact lenses, for most of my life.

Cinnamon: That’s good news! :) I am considering to have one.

Icy: Do you feel uncomfortable when wearing contacts for whole day?

I heard of lasik too but never dare to try. My hubby has almost perfect eyesight even though he is hooked on to his notebook most of the time. He is really one lucky man.

I heard that drinking carrot juice can help improve eyesight. My favourite is orange + carrot juice and I am not sure whether it is pure coincidence because my short-sightedness has been improving.

  7. I like you, have been wearing glasses since I was a child. I had a phase where I vainly wore contact lenses, so I would feel more normal and look more attractive. Thankfully I outgrew my insecurities. The people who love me don’t care if I wear glasses or not, so why should I?

I am older now and thankful that there are such things as corrective lenses, so I may see the world as I was meant to see it. For me it is too expensive to get surgery, so I shall be happy that I can afford my glasses. Thank you for reminding me how fortunate I truly am.

the eyes were pretty good until I hit 30 that’s when I got my first pair of glasses. I always hate it in the winter when you come in from outside and get all fogged up :)

i used to have perfect eyesight, maybe up to these days except when reading that I can easily get tired :( now, i wear reading glasses, but i can still read without one. my husband and my sister-in-law had lasik and they told me it is one of the best things they gave themselves.

My brother-in-law had this done and he still cannot see up close well. According to our eye doctor, it only corrects seeing far away, not close up.

If you are able to do the surgery, I would go for it, if it helps you.
I only have -0.5 on my right eye right now due to a Stigmata.
    Not overly bad :)
