Miss you, Snow
Christmas is near, and living in tropical country means no need to put on your parka, which also means no snow in sight,… ever! The more I think about it, the more i miss snow. I miss skiing (I suck at snowboarding). I miss playing snowball fights. Plus, I’ve never encounter snow since I took photography seriously. So for those of you who also miss snow, i made this pic for all of you (which i thought kinda soothing, just like snow). Besides, those Sylvanian characters are awfully cute, aren’t they. Have a nice day!

That’s a cool effect! How did you do the snow flakes effect?
For me, I can’t stand cold weather, but the thought of playing with the snow would be an exciting experience.
so adorable. macro shots? i wanna play with snow.
they look purrr-fectly content sitting on the snow! love the effect you have done on the snow. silver dust?
looking forward to playing in the snow too! it’s only a matter of days now…
Great pic…we rarely get decnt snow in my part of the uk tho last winter we did manage to make a couple of snowmen which was a first for a few years…I think I could handle living in a tropical country and never seeing it again tho…soooo ccccoooollldddd!!!!!!!
vs: thanks, I just added a couple layers of dots made from photoshop brushes, with different blur level, and sizes. As simple as that.
Danielle, Kikamz: they’re my favorite stand in models, too.
. I just shot it on top of untucked bed linen, using telephoto lens to blur the background and foreground, and use an off-shoe flash to make the five o’clock shadow.
Tanya: Maybe we could swap countries for a while? or swap weathers? =D
Nice winter photo. I too put my snow villages up and leave them up, so I can see snow. I Love the snow season.
nice picture..
Very cute! You are so lucky to not get snow. I had it for ten years straight when I lived in Wisconsin. Living in Texas, I barely get snow, but it still is cold. My parents tell me that it was much warmer when they lived in Southeast Asia.
Darn near perfect, except I don’t think kitties look that happy when their feet are in snow. It’s usually dogs who grin vacuously and think it’s a new toy!
They are cute and it sure looks like snow to me.
Uh, you have to put little coats on them so they don’t freeze to death in the fake snow!! What were you thinking???! Sheesh.
Auntie E, Wenn, Sharksbyte Ann: you’re all too kind. Thank you.
Blia: I think Texas is perfect, the winter is not that cold, I went to Corpus Christi like a decade ago, strolling on a beach in winter time. You can always drive to nearby states for snow. =D
Lin:The problem is, they don’t sell coats in size XXXXXXXXXS. =P
So very festive and Unique
They are very cute indeed. How about virtual snow in your blog?
I’ve lucked out so far, an hour drive north of me they had three feet of snow just recently, we had an inch.
we’ll get our share though, it never fails.
Thanks Dorothyl, Autumn Belle. Im not quite sure i got what you meant by virtual snow.
Donssite: i’ll take an inch of snow. xD. The grass sure looks greener on the other side.
