Today we are visiting ION Shopping Mall at Orchard, Singapore.
ION is considered a young shopping mall and its the first Christmas event for this mall.
Let’s look closer shall we?
Hmm.. Our blog is indeed famous :P
They build a gigantic 6-storey high LED light based Christmas tree in front of their mall.
They call it “The Star of ION Orchard”
All shopping mall across Orchard Road are joining the BEST DRESSED BUILDING CONTEST this Christmas.
Looks like this mall is a strong contender.
The Star of ION Orchard is 9m wide, 20m tall and consist of 30 mirror balls, 31 stairs, 32 strobe lights, 850 baubles, 3720 LED lights and 132000 tips.
Very impressive!
That’s not the end yet. The Star of ION Orchard is a walk-in Christmas Tree!

Inside the tree you can easily fits 50 people comfortably.
Just don’t stare too long at the lights, I even get dizzy looking at the picture

This is the part of the Christmas lighting that I have seen so far and I like it.

Yes the last one is really out there. Feels like you’re under water and lots of jellyfish. I wonder how it’ll look like if you use slow shutter, and zooming in while pressing the shutter release. Will it look like a warping scene from a Star Trek movie,..hmmm.
