Send Me To Korea (7) : Sunrise Peak in Jeju Island
Sunrise Peak or Seongsan Ilchubong is one of UNESCO Wold Heritage located at Jeju Island. It is a volcanic crater with vertical cliffs rises up from the shore. It was named “Sunrise Peak” because this area is the first to greet each day’s new sun. To enjoy the beautiful sceneries we have to climb to the top of the peak. Jagged rocks stick up like teeth along the crater’s perimeter. According to locals, there are 99 rocks, but I didn’t count when I managed to reach the peak. Let’s enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding area.





The picture below is my favorite. The rocks look like an Indian Chief head in cowboy movie. What do you think?
