Blue Jeans Blue
“Jeans” taken from the French phrase bleu de Gênes, which means the blue of Genoa.
Using indigo dye, jeans are dyed to a blue color. About 20 million tons of dye are produced annually, but only a few grams of the dye are required for each pair of pants.
I got few questions for all of you:
1. How many pairs of jeans you have currently?
2. How many times or how long you wear your jeans before it finally you washed it?
3. Do you preferred buttons or zippered jeans?
This is a huge discussion in our house right now, as I am tired of washing jeans every single night of my life. Ugh.
Everyone here has at least 5 pairs of jeans. 3 out of 4 of us wear them once before we (I) wash them. And they are all zippers.
The fight?? Dad thinks we should all wear our jeans at least 3 times before washing them. Ick. He was out-voted.

I have about 7 pairs, two of them are buttons.
I washed them after 2 times wear ( if I wore them most of the time indoor and air conditioned) But if I wear it for outdoor during hot sunny day, I wear it only once before wash.
Personally I think 3-4 pairs are sufficient for a person average.
I ever heard that some people never wash it EVER since they bought it! fungus attack!!

I wear jeans almost every day. They’re maybe the perfect clothing. Other than that I don’t pay much attention to them.
I have one pair… plus a skirt jeans ( does that count)?
I wash it when it looks and feels dirty. I prefer zippered ones. Buttons are too tricky for me.
I currently have LOTS of jeans…most of which have been given to me…I wear them 1-2 times before they are washed depending on which jeans they are…I have ones that are old and I will work in so they get worn once and washed…then I have nice ones I will wear to town and change as soon as I get home so then I will sometimes where them the next day.
I don’t mind buttons or zips..not fussed either way as long as they do up!!
I don’t own any jeans and haven’t in oh, 40 years or so. I don’t like denim. That said. I wear pants just once and then they go in the wash. Actually every article is washed after one wearing.
Well I don’t know the exact number, at least 6
1-2 days depending on what I’m doing when I wear them. If I’m out working in the yard they only get worn once. If I’m just laying around the house then twice. I definately prefer zipper over buttons
