After long nights of dragging my heavy camera bag and tripod from work and crawling in the dark of nights, searching for the best angle, techniques and skill… I present to you, my first HDR photo!

For those who didn’t know what on earth is HDR, HDR is High Dynamic Range (HDR) image using three photographs of the same scene taken under different exposures, and process the HDR image in photoshop in order to reveal its details in highlights and shadows. HDR images contain more detail in bright and dark areas than ordinary images. But to achieve that is another story, experience and hands on are the keys.
The skies doesn’t look so bright and clean due to pollution and dust in city area. Weather plays a very important factor in taking a night shoot.
My freebie tripod finally R.I.P (Rest in Pieces) during the photography “battle.” Time to buy a new one…

I know nothing about photography so I can’t comment much but the photo looks great to me.
My only prob when I take photos is my hands are unsteady. I don’t like using tripods cos I’m only using low brand camera, not DSLR. Most of the time my photos are blurry… hate that :(

To an ameteur, it is in fact splendid. The colours are so sharp and clear.
I’m no professional so as for the technical aspect I can’t say but I know what I like , and I like this image. I had never knew about HDR until a few months ago and I must say I find them very fascinating.
I’m another one who knows nothing about your topic, but the image is very nice. I do think I can see what you mean about the extra detail in the dark portions of the photo.

This is a fantastic photo…I hate the fact that when I take a shot at night there just seems to be nothing there when I look back at it…I would love to be able to produce this sort of image….do you need a special camera or is it just programmes??? I only have a little bog standard digital camera..could I achieve something like this??? H

My personal opinion is that it is a great photo. I still consider myself inexperienced though. I think the detail is excellent. I love looking at cityscapes. The lights coming from the windows of the buildings are always very beautiful.
