Nishikigoi (Cyprinus Carpio), or just called it Koi fish, is probably the friendliest species of fish (yeah, there’s dolphin, but they considered as mammals).
Koi fish is just like a dog, they come when their master around, and you can even hand-feeding them.
It’s really a fun moment watching their movement during feeding time.
These pictures were taken in my late dad’s pond.

Kohaku (red pattern on a white body), Taisho sanke (red and black pattern on white body), Showa sanshoku (red and white patern on black body), Tancho Kohaku (a red circle pattern on the head), and Shiro bekko (black pattern on white body) are just a few names of these fishes type. There are also other names as Sutsui, Shiro Utsuri, Kin ginrin, Yamabushi ogon and many more, too many to mentioned here.
So enjoy the dance of these wonderful fishes!

Wow, how many fishes you have in the pond Moxeous? Have you ever counted them? So Colorful
I don’t know how many.
Is almost impossible to count them, cause they’re like always moving around.
Wow, the first picture looks like an abstract painting to me.
now how cool is that, hand feeding a fish. That’s some fish pond there, so colorful
wow..beautiful fishes with unique names..
I’ve always been so fascinated by these fish and wish we could keep some here EXCEPT…that’s exactly what my cats are waiting for….it could be a very expensive way to feed my kitties? (NOT!)
I had a friend who had huge ponds with Koi in….the kids used to love to go and feed them…the pics are great..you have really caught there natures within the shots!!
such a wonderful fishes! nice captures
I did not know that the different patterns each have their own names. Very interesting.
Beautiful fishes. I love the bright color of Showa sanshoku (red and white patern on black body).
I can sit forever watching fishes in aquariums – they just relaxes me !
