The Blog

I was sitting and chill with my fellow photographer friends over this famous drink joint that sell local coffee and tea.

It was a very interesting gathering, about five of us with three different brand of cameras. Nikon, Sony and Canon users.

We were discussing about photography techniques and when one of us got called from his mom.

His mom forgot to bring house keys and are trapped outside the house.

Oh well… party’s over :(

Im testing my D90 Nikon using this lens: AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G

The result looks good. Pardon the slightly blurrish result since my hands were shaky from carrying camera whole day :P

Have a Great Weekend! :)

It always amazed me in how flying creatures can land perfectly on the tip of the plant or flower. Just like this little red dragonfly made its perfect landing.

Dragonfly is characterized by large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong transparent wings, and an elongated body. Dragonflies are similar to damselflies, but the adults can be differentiated by the fact that the wings of most dragonflies are held away from, and perpendicular to, the body when at rest. Even though dragonflies possess 6 legs like any other insect, they are not capable of walking.

Dragonflies are valuable predators that eat mosquitoes, and other small insects like flies, bees, ants, and butterflies. They are usually found around lakes, ponds, streams and wetlands because their larvae, known as “nymphs”, are aquatic.

Nymphs can deliver a painful bite when threatened. The wound should be cleaned thoroughly to prevent water-borne infections.
