Good morning!
This is one of the new technique that I’ve learned from my photographer buddy…
Instead of making the picture really sharp, I did the opposite way, make it totally out of focus.
In order to create this effect, the lens have to be set on manual Auto Focus.
Tripod is recommended to give the desired effects.
Happy shooting!

VS, amazing tones for your first pic. Friday are great and you have make it better!
the first photo is stunning! i love the circle of colours!
It’s a nice effect. It would be interesting to try this on all different subjects.
Two beautiful pieces of art!
Those are very cool photos. I used to have a Nikon SLR (back before the digital picture age) that I loved to play with. Now I have a crappy Kodak that runs either SLR or Auto, but has auto focus. Keeping my eye on a nice Nikon with manual focus…money doesn’t agree with me right now. How I long for the days I could manipulate the focus! Great job!
Just thought that I would let you know that I love the desert rose on your site. And your photography – amazing – thank you so much.
Wow, gorgeous images! You are one skilled photographer, and I appreciate the tips. Gracias!
Ha! Unless you’re me I can do this with any camera setting. Of course, never intentionally and never ever this lovely!!
Wow, another awesome share here today with Vanilla!!
Happy weekend my friend!! I want your new camera too!!
Hugs,
Jackie
It gives the photos are very surreal look and feel. Very nice. I have a similar post today about how to take photos that do not come out very well and play around with them creating pieces of art. It’s fun.
These are awesom. Is this what is referred to as bokeh? Or would there have to be part of the picture in focus with the circles of light behind it?
krizzcross: Thanks, I will do my best
cher: Thank you! Glad you like it!
Ratty: Yes, I’m looking forward to try this on different subject.
Nicole: Thank you
Lisa: In my case, I pushed my lumix to its limit and found out all its limitation before I decided to buy a new one.
Brenda: Thank you for your encouraging comment
P.L.Frederick: Glad can share useful tips with you!
Jackie: Of course you can do better than me, you are a very talented artist
Indeed its a good camera.
Joanne: Your blog are always inspiring Joanne. I’ve learnt a lot from you and still learning
ann: Yes, it’s a bokeh effect, but bokeh can be taken during daytime too and not necessary must have light source behind it. I mixed this with the lights at night.
