After three hours of trekking, presented to us are the magnificent view from the summit. The rising sun and it’s awesome rays. At time it may look like in a foreign world.

The 1st picture looks like the scene taken from “Lord of The Ring.”
I love all the picture here. Indeed a rare eye opener experience. Thanks for sharing krizzcross :)

Your pictures and story simply remind me on my hike 3 years back. It was 8 degree C at that time at the base camp. My friends who have come back recently told me it was below 0 degree C, they saw ice!!

Thanks everyone! Is my first trek up this mountain last month. Even after seeing much pictures from fellow trekkers from the web, it still caught me by surprised how bare and cold and literally freezing cold due to the winds. Thanks Dorothy, for the word COLD. That the word! :)

VanillaSeven : Beside a Lord of The Ring, I guess it can be like a fallen world too.

Hi Rainfield, How blessed for your friend to see Ice! WOW!! Hey bro, I found out you have vast collections of experience and pics too, share it with all of us :)

Hi Cher, I needed more than floating on them, I do wish they can bring me back home after all the climb. haha….

This is simply stunning. I just read a book Annapurna (hope I got the title and the spelling right) on the first conquest of Annapurna. It was truly an eye-opening ‘experience.’ Maurice Herzog, one of the two climbers in the expedition who successfully reached the summit, suffered sever frost-bite and had to have some of his toes and fingers amputated after the end of the expedition. It was almost horrifying to read.

    Thanks again.

To BK; You are totally right! Annapurna and especially EBC (Everest Base Camp) simply spectacular! I was there trekking in march, we didn’t scale the summit (not prepared for that), but just the EBC route itself are awesome! Ranging from the snow cap mountains, people and culture, food and etc are an eye-opener. Will post the pics someday. :)

Hi Sam; The above are Mount Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu (Sabah / Malaysia).

Very beautiful photos !! Reminded me of my summit climb except that mine was hit by torrential rain and I couldn’t capture a lot of the bright and beautiful sceneries that you took.

Would look to climb Mt Kinabalu again !
