Shortly after we returned to Kuala Besut Jetty, we saw bunch of other tourist also had same problem as us.
You saw the skinny boy in brown t-shirt? He is our boat driver, panickly calling his boss back and forth to provide him with proper documents.
Our boat were illegaly overloaded. The max passenger for our boat is 8 pax, but the boat operator filled it with 13 pax! Beside that some of the passengers acted gung-ho by not wearing safety vest which is forbidden.
One of the officer approached and asked all of us to submit to him our passport to register.
We waiting for about half an hour, and they moved the excess passengers to another boat.
While waiting, I took this boat driver boy photo…
There is a majestic aura about this boy and the cloud formation up there, hope this photo below explain more.
Saw it now?
Back to the maritime police, I guess they got what they looking for, I saw a man sitting on the wood plank with one officer guarding him in full alert (notice the hand on the holster)
Whatever that guy problem with the law, I really don’t want to know. But this incident gave me a brand new respect on the maritime police. They work in the very professional and efficient way to ensure the waters are safe.
Enough yadda-yadda! I want my beach holiday! Finally, off we go!
Hopefully there is no more strange thing happened in our journey…
…or that’s what we thought…

Maybe the guy the police had was who they were looking for all along.
Talking about orange uniform.. those photo reminds me of baywatch
From the last sentence, it seemed like there would be more excitements ahead that you would be sharing with us.
I first thought of evil things, you know, the marine polis, corruptions, but it turned out to be the other way.
Ratty: Yeah, I think so too. Good thing that guy not on the same boat as us.

alexa: We only missing Pamela Anderson and Tom.. I mean David Hasselhoff
BK: We’ll see!
rainfield: Same here, my heart beat like a drum at that time. Few moment before we left, the police head even cracked jokes with us, so thank God this turned out good!
yes, from your story, it seems there are still more surprises to come. and glad everyone is safe.
There’s always problem due to arise when u go to islands..
I experienced loads of problems on my way to Tioman.. lol!
betchai: Yeah, I am really glad that everyone is safe.
Cashmere: I’ve been to Tioman twice. Perhentian is better by far. This is the first time I’ve experienced this.
It sounds like the police there are pretty decent. I’d hate it if something like this happened to me, the police around here love to intimidate people
