A shot taken at Singapore Bird Park

Our group went to visit Singapore Bird Park for a photo-contest sponsored by Panasonic. The above photo shows a Pelican standing with wings wide open as if it was a musical conductor in a concert. I quickly got my camera and snapped this cool and hard to find scene. I enjoyed watching this and other birds so hope you enjoy it, too.

A awesome shot in a familiar place to me. It has been a long long time since I was there in the Singapore Jurong Bird Park. I was in the Zoo quite recently. When did you take the shot? It certainly did look like the Pelican was conducting a concert. :)

Wow! An amazing shot. I agree with BK that it looks as though he’s conducting. He’s very beautiful.

I absolutely love the white pelicans. They are in Minnesota and North Dakota too, and I saw one here (Michigan) last spring. Must have been traveling through. Nice picture!

Interesting! Not only carrying baby, now he’s conducting, too …
    Great shot.

Hi all. I would like to say I appreciate your comments and please keep them coming. I will definitely post more to share my photo adventures.

BK > this shot was taken in November 2008
earthtoholly > it is really amazing how it opened its wings and keep it open for awhile so i managed to position myself and took the shot
sharkbytes > good for seeing wild one, ours are inside the zoo. they are really amazing even when catching fish
v1olet > that’s my thought, too. maybe, low baby business for him so took another career
